As part of a new strategy for cooperation between Norway and North America, the Norwegian Ministry for Education and Research recently announced a call for partnerships for higher education collaboration between Norwegian and Canadian universities through the SIU (the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Higher Education).

The program covers all academic disciplines and provides support for: mobility of faculty and students; development of common modules; curricula; joint degrees; setting up summer schools; etc. While it must be the Norwegian institutions that apply for the funding, the money can be spent in both countries. A statement from the Canadian partner is required for the application, so if this program is of interest to you, please contact your Norwegian partner and explore this possibility.
