Researcher on Corporate Actors (Extractives) - Amnesty International (AI)
Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide organization working to end human rights violations. As researcher in on corporate actors, you will conduct research on the impact of companies on human rights, with a special focus on the extractive sector. You will also provide authoritative advice to country and thematic specialists in the International Secretariat, sections and structures; and develop the movement’s strategic goals and responses to emerging human rights issues in relation to the business and human rights.
You will have:
- proven experience of undertaking high-quality field research on economic issues and economic actors as well as expert knowledge of the extractives sector;
- knowledge of international human rights law and relevant developments on business and human rights at the international level;
- ability to think strategically and exercise sound political judgment;
- excellent communication and analytical ability.
Experience in planning, organizing and prioritizing work under pressure, as well as excellent written English and the ability to draft clear and concise research reports, policy positions and strategy papers is essential.
