The Governance, Equity and Health (GEH) Program supports research in developing regions to promote equitable provision of public health and health care services. This includes research on financing, delivery, access and governance challenges across a number of themes and regions.

As a member of one or two multi-disciplinary teams, the Senior Program Specialist identifies critical research issues; assists in developing the research strategy; and takes the lead in reviewing, developing, monitoring, managing and evaluating a portfolio of research projects. In particular, he/she will be involved in developing the portfolio on health equity and financing of health and social services, including political and governance dimensions, with a focus on Latin America and South Asia. Also, he/she will be expected to contribute to the Globalization, Growth and Poverty Program focusing on related issues of social protection, public finance and poverty/inequality.
