Description: Senior Trainers will be hired to conduct journalism training activities (including training seminars, preparing curriculum, lecturing, mentoring, and helping to administer a small grants program and a fellowship program) in Kinshasa*, DRC.

*At this time, no travel outside of Kinshasa is required

The trainers will have significant journalism experience, a proven ability to successfully teach others and the ability to work in a challenging, cross-cultural environment. Trainers will organize and run a series of training seminars focused on building the capacity of the local media community to report on locally relevant human rights issues. Trainers will be expected to develop training material, facilitate workshops, mentor local journalists, work with local media-based NGOs and conduct other capacity development activities.
