Update: Participatory Multi-Perspective CSR Case Study Project
Posted: 2009/01/15

Project Update: January 8, 2009

The project progressed significantly during the Fall of 2008. A Chilean case study team has been formed, including representatives from academia, the public and private sectors, and civil society. The principal investigator, Kernaghan Webb, has visited the Chilean team, and research for this case study is ongoing in both Canada and Chile. A case study in Ghana is also underway.

The project has secured the cooperation of transnational mining firms for two future case studies in other jurisdictions. Teams are developing the case studies using a variety of innovative e-based technologies so that participants can use online techniques to discuss, review and comment on documents. A workshop will be held in May 2009, for team members to compare findings and assess results to date. Funding applications to enable future work are in process, as are academic conference presentations and publications.
