Executive Compensation - SIO submits comment letter to Canadian Securities Administrators
Posted: 2011/02/19
SIO Executive Director Eugene Ellmen has submitted a comment letter to the CSA on proposed executive compensation disclosure. The letter commends the CSA’s attention to this issue but points out some deficiencies in the proposed amendments, particularly in regard to the issue of long-term risk management and compensation disclosure: “We believe that the amendments are deficient in failing to draw attention specifically to disclosure of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks posed by a company’s compensation policies and practices.”
