| Summary | This initiative aims to identify, characterize and link with the research groups who are actively engaged or interested in supporting research related to Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility in British Columbia and the Yukon. |
| Description | Initially a four-month project, this initiative aims to identify, characterize and link with the research groups who are actively engaged or interested in supporting research related to Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility in British Columbia and the Yukon.
Groups might consist of individuals, organizations or established networks/centres. Corporations or their representative associations would also be considered, as well as government, Aboriginal, academic and NGO organizations.
Characterization of groups would consider: contact coordinates; terms of reference; areas of interest, scope and details of research activity; interest in collaboration; and synergies.
Our goal is to collect information about issues that you and/or your organization determine to be relevant in the context of business ethics that may require more research and dissemination.
The project deliverables will include a database of information collected from interaction with individuals and groups. It could form the basis for future communications planning and partnerships for collaborative research. The information will be integrated with CBERN’s national database.
A workshop to discuss the results was held in Vancouver, November 20, 2009, following a one-day MSBC meeting on mining and sustainability.
Also, the Pacific Region Hub is building a database of organizations and parties interested in business ethics and related themes. It is developing a list of topics that are critical in the business ethics realm. Please complete the CBERN profile form to participate in this initiative.
