Me in Brief

Jane is currently a consultant, speaker, writer and trainer on nonprofit leadership in Canada and internationally. Her governance, ethics and strategic planning clients include health, arts, legal, environment, community services and civil society/NGOs as well as professional and industry organizations and the Integrity Commission of a foreign government. She has served national, provincial, regional and community organizations as well as crown corporations, governments and multi-national companies. Jane has provided ethics consulting or training services to organizations such as Professional Organizers in Canada, Public Works and Government Services Canada (for EthicScan Canada), International Institute of Public Ethics, Ontario Community Support Association and the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. Ethical values are integral to all her consulting and training work.

In 1995 she was a founder of the Ethics Practitioners’ Association of Canada, an organization she has twice chaired. She was part of writing the Ethical Standards for its members. She currently chairs the Governance Committee and co-chairs the Audit Committee. Jane was a volunteer for years with the EthicsCentre CA, and still belongs to it as well as to Transparency International.

Jane is currently on the roster at the City of Toronto for complaint investigations on behalf of the Ombudsman, and is working on a book based on her ten years of monthly Governance and Ethics columns for Charity Village. She is taking director education on enterprise risk management and isinterested in bringing her governance and ethics expertise to a for-profit board.
