Area of Interest: Professional Responsibilities

My research in the last few years has centred primarily around ethical decisions by professionals. Specifically, whether there is evidence of different identities impacting how professionals resolve ethical dilemmas. Currently I am working on a project using qualitative data gathered from a study of lawyers in large commercial law firms. I am also involved in unrelated studies considering the impact of the use of social media on accounting practice and exploring the history of one of the quasi-regulatory accounting functions in Ontario.

I teach both accounting ethics and business law at the School of Accounting and Finance, University of Waterloo.
