Canada-Russia Corporate Social Responsibility ProjectThe long term objective of this Canada-Russia CSR initiative is to establish a Canada-Russia Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Network with the goal of promoting socially responsible economic development in the Canadian and Russian North. The intention is to build a network that will include Russian and Canadian businesses working in the Russian Arctic and Northern regions and related Canadian and Russian business associations, Russian and Canadian regional administrations and civic leaders, and relevant Canadian and Russian NGOs, experts, and academics.
CBERN Pacific Mapping ProjectThis initiative aims to identify, characterize and link with the research groups who are actively engaged or interested in supporting research related to Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility in British Columbia and the Yukon.
Collaborative CSR Case StudyThis project seeks to conduct corporate social responsibility (CSR) case study research on the activities of Canadian mining companies in three developing countries, focusing on the social and environmental challenges they encounter.
Human rights, corporate social responsibility and business practices in AsiaThe project intends to research human rights violations and corporate corruption in emerging markets and argue that they have something in common: they are both the result of a dysfunctional legal structure.
The National Roundtables on Corporate Social ResponsibilityThe Government of Canada, led by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, held a series of national roundtables in order to discuss issues of Corporate Social Responsibility in the mining, oil and gas sectors and their operations in developing countries.
