 P.M. Vasudev is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Common Law Section of the Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa. He holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Madras (India) and a bachelor's degree in law from Bharathiyar University (India). Vasudev also holds LL.M. (Western Ontario) and Ph.D. (Osgoode Hall Law School York University.
The doctoral research of P.M. Vasudev was about the stakeholder principle in corporate governance, and his research interests include:
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- Business ethics
- Sustainable development
- Capital markets, financial innovation and regulation
- Social justice and the philosophy of economic pursuits
The research articles written by P.M. Vasudev have appeared in scholarly journals such as the Journal of Business Law, McGill Law Journal, American Journal of Legal History and the Journal of Corporation Law. P.M. Vasudev regularly presents his research work at conferences, and has made presentations in Canada, US, Australia and New Zealand.
A member of the Bar of Bangalore, Karnatka, P.M. Vasudev practiced as a corporate lawyer in Bangalore and possesses substantial professional experience in public practice and industry. He has authored several professional and research articles which have been published in The Economic Times, The Hindu Business Line and Chartered Secretary. P.M. Vasudev engages with business and the professions through directorships and providing consultancy on strategy and policy.
