Me in Brief

Glenn is the Chief of the Missanabie Cree First Nation, with traditional lands located in the Chapleau Crown Land Game Preserve. The Missanabie Cree is a progressive community, interested in advancing the community economically and socially while preserving the traditions and culture of the people. Glenn spent his early years traveling with his family to different harvesting areas, living mostly in prospector tents and finding food from the land. As a young adult Glenn worked in a variety of jobs over the years. Professionally, his background and education is in geophysics were he prospected mining claims throughout Canada and the United States. He also worked for the Minister of Natural Resources in Ontario for the timber department and in parks as a wilderness ranger. Most recently he began working closely with First Nation Communities in community development, providing workshops in land conservation, sustainable development and partnership development.
