Me in Brief
 Liz Soria is accountable for ENMAX's corporate responsibility governance framework and strategy and, as head of the Compliance department is responsible for ensuring that the ENMAX companies are compliant with the Codes of Conduct (Regulation and AUC Order), wholesale trading rules, reliability standards, advertising law, lobbying requirements and privacy law, and that they conduct their internal affairs ethically in accordance with the ENMAX Principles of Business Ethics. She ensures that adequate controls, processes and policies are in place and functioning for wires services, retail electricity services, wholesale trading, generation, safety, and environment.
Prior to joining ENMAX, Ms. Soria was Vice President, Product Development and a member of the company's executive at CLN Highlander (a legal software and services start-up), managing a team of software developers, project managers and quality assurance specialists, as it grew from 17 employees to more than 200 after its acquisition by Brascan Corp. Her 16 years of legal experience include roles as in-house counsel with TransCanada Energy and in private practice with the pre-eminent Atlantic law firm, Stewart McKelvey. The focus of her legal work has been in the areas of energy, environmental, commercial and corporate law.
Ms. Soria holds an LL.B. from the University of Calgary and is a member of the Alberta and Nova Scotia bars. She also holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Queen's University and is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta.
