Me in Brief

After graduating in Toronto as a Mechanical-Nuclear Engineering Technologist in 1984, I travelled across Europe and ended in Sri Lanka to establish a solar energy business. We sold the company to Shell subsequently and I worked internationally as an expert in various parts of Asia and Africa introducing renewable technologies for rural energy.

My interests in human behavior, history, philosophy and psychology always had me inquiring into leadership, values and ethics and how it impacts the world. In 2002, I focused my energy towards organizations and leadership and established a consulting and training practice based in Sri Lanka. I worked intimately with many organizations – business, government and non-profits - to help them align their businesses to achieve their goals and objectives by looking after their people, internally and being mindful about their impact on the communities and the environment that surrounded them in a responsible manner.

I also embarked on a Masters for Responsibility & Business Practice, at University of Bath in United Kingdom – a program about harnessing the power of leadership to create a more sustainable, inclusive and a just society, using action research and inquiry practices.

I moved to Ottawa, Canada in 2011 and established Sage Ontario for Mindful Leadership and currently provide soft skills training - Leadership, Coaching Skills, Conflict Resolution etc - for senior Canadian federal government staff. I have also established another company Power of 3 with 2 partners, Douglas Perkins, a miner with 30 years experience on the ground in Africa and South America and Robert Chitty of Gordon Group, an Ottawa based communications company who have been working closely with James Bay Cree to help companies help facilitate Authentic Relationships - internally and externally for CSR in the mining industry.
